Airline Training Program

General arrangements for ground training. The training structure is majorly Theoretical training: To instruct the students in a purely theoretical principle. The theoretical training is conducted from Monday to Friday, from 08:30 am. to 1:00 pm.

Course Aims

The aim of the ATPL (A) course is to train pilots to the level of proficiency necessary to enable them to apply for UCAA ATPL aeronautical knowledge examinations.

Course Duration

The course shall last not less than two (2) months and not more than six (6) months.

Pre-entry Requirements

According to UCAA PEL Reg 83 of 2020, before admission, an applicant must have sufficient knowledge of Mathematics, Physics, and English to facilitate an understanding of the theoretical knowledge instruction content of the The applicant shall demonstrate his knowledge on the above subjects, to the Head of Training, by writing a pre-entry knowledge aptitude test.

Be at least 21 years of age
Hold a valid and current commercial pilots license and instrument rating
Hold a valid Class 1 medical certificate
Have proof of completion of aeronautical knowledge requirements for CPL as prescribed in UCAA PEL regulation 68 of 2020

Enrollment

Upon enrollment, an applicant will fill out an official application form and shall have with them the following:

  • Four (4) passport photographs.
  • A logbook endorsement from authorized instructor.
  • Validated photocopy of high School certificate or equivalent diploma.
  • Validated photocopy of ID or passport.
  • Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • A deposit of at least 40% of the total tuition fees for the course.
  • Copy of Birth Certificate.

Course Details

The course shall comprise

  • Theoretical knowledge instruction to the ATPL (A) knowledge level.

Theoretical Training

ATPL (A) theoretical knowledge course will comprise Eight (8) theoretical subjects, 250 hours of instruction (1 hour = 60 minutes instruction), which includes formal classroom work. The Eight subjects are analyzed as follows:
